So I haven't been very active on the blog lately, or the podcast for that matter. It's something I want to do more of but I've been getting back into drawing a lot and have really concentrated my time on it. Above is my latest piece. My verion of a Blackest Night alternative cover. It was something I had an idea for and I've been working on it pretty dilligently for the last week or so. With the help and advice of some of my comic book artist pals, I've gone back to square one and tried to develop my skills. I've always wanted to draw comics and while I'm not going to be quitting my day job any time soon, overall I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. This was done 100% digitally in Manga Studio Pro, which is an awesome program for a crappy inker like me. I threw in a quick photoshop background and the mock-up Blackest Night logo to finish it off for now. At some point I may go back and try to color it.
